BookMobile is committed to using the alternative power sources offered by our local utility, Xcel Energy's Windsource® program, and to offering our customers a wide variety of post-consumer recycled papers. We have selected 30%-PCW as our house 60-lb. natural stock—at no additional charge to you. It may cost us a little more to produce books this way, but we believe it is an important contribution to a sustainable world. (The good news for our customers is that our prices are still competitive!)
We purchase all of our electrical power through Windsource®, which provides energy produced in wind farms in southwestern Minnesota. Minnesota, we are proud to say, is the third-largest producer of wind-generated electricity after Texas and California. It turns out those cold prairie winds are good for something after all.
We stock Rolland Opaque30, a high quality paper with excellent opacity which also contains 30% post-consumer fiber, has FSC certification, and is manufactured using biogas energy. We provide the following weights:
